Easter is an important Christian festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. There are many different customs and traditions for celebrating Easter around the world. This year Easter will be celebrated on Sunday, April 5, 2015. Early celebrations included the painting of eggs, which represented Jesus’ empty tomb. Today we give Easter Eggs, often chocolate, and also have Easter egg hunts hidden by the Easter Bunny. No matter how your family celebrates this most joyous of holidays, remember the reason for the day and be sure to thank the Lord for each and every day we’re given on this beautiful planet. Glory be to God in the highest!
