We love this place, it's like a second family. The amount of learning is amazing! All of the staff are great with the kids (you only need to see the children's annual art show to see how well they are nurtured). I will be very sad when my son's time there comes to an end. Ellen the director offers such great "outside" activities too... piano lessons, soccer, Lego technology, ballet..... If you haven't checked it out you should!!! - Gretchen, LOA Parent
"My two boys have been going to Open Arms since they were in the infant room. One is now in the private Kindergarten and the other in the 3 year old room. Both boys love to go to school...and quite frankly stall like crazy when it is time to leave. They always run to give me a hug but want to go back and keep playing!
They continuously seek feedback from their parents and have made positive changes based on recommendations; like improvements to the meals and snacks. Staff are friendly, open to suggestions, love the children and miss them when they are out.
We love the fun activities offered like beautiful artwork (our 'fridge is covered), chapel and great music thanks to Ms. Wendy. Lots of time to play outside and walks to the nearby park. Lots of fun seasonal activities, parties, programs and special visitors like magicians and animals. The curriculum and lesson plans for even the infants are detailed and keeps the children engaged and learning as they play.
One of my sons was sick often (the breast-fed one~ go figure!) as an infant the other was sick very little. Like any environment where there are a lot of children there is the potential for spreading germs. I think individual resistance plays a factor. I have seen staff taking appropriate health precautions at every developmental level. Having been exposed early on, the boys are rarely sick now (knock on wood).
I would definite recommend LOA to families looking for a warm, loving Christian care option." - Debra, LOA Parent
“I can’t say enough wonderful things about the love and care my son receives from his teachers. The transition starting the program wasn't easy for him, as he had been home with me, but the staff and teachers were always patient and loving. It is a wonderful program packed with lots of reading, singing, crafts…and lots of laughter.” –Mike, LOA parent
